U radu su prikazane prirodne pretpostavke za razvitak zdravstvenoga turizma u Hrvatskoj. Na prvome su mjestu to prirodni ljekoviti činitelji, koji se dijele u klimatske, morske i topličke ljekovite činitelje. Pored njih potrebno je u mjestima njihove primjene zadovoljiti različite lječilišne uvjete primjene. Za proglašenje nekog mjesta prirodnim lječilištem neophodno je pored prirodnih ljekovitih činitelja i lječilišnih uvjeta, zadovoljiti i druge uvjete. U Hrvatskoj medicini djeluje 17 lječilišnih mjesta s prirodnim ljekovitim činiteljima u različitim zdravstvenim ustanovama. Pored toga, u Hrvatskoj je pronađeno više od stotinu drugih mjesta s prirodnim ljekovitim činiteljima. Neki su se od njih koristili u prošlosti, koji bi se s drugima mogli koristiti u zdravstvenomu turizmu u Hrvatskoj.The paper describes natural preconditions for the development of health tourism in Croatia. The first position is that of natural therapeutic factors which are divided in climate, marine, and spa factors. Aside them, it is necessary to fulfil various therapeutic conditions in the places of treatment. To proclaim a place as a natural health resort, it is not only necessary to have natural therapeutic factors and satisfying treatment conditions, but also to fulfil other requirements. In Croatia’s health service there are 17 operating natural health resorts with various natural therapeutic factors in different health facilities. In addition, more than a hundred other places with natural therapeutic factors have been found in Croatia. Some of them were used in the past and they could be also used with others for the purpose of health tourism in Croatia
