PhD students from the Faculty of International Economics, Finance, and Business, UDG, and members of the EmpowerHR4Inno research project, Bojana Malisic and Jovana Popovic, participated in the International Scientific Conference titled FEB Zagreb 2024 15th International Odyssey Conference on Economics and Business. They presented a paper titled "Global Strategies for Innovativeness: Enhancing Absorptive Capacity through Human Resource Practices".
The 15th International Scientific Conference was held in Dubrovnik from May 22 to 25, 2024, organized by the Faculty of Economics at the University of Zagreb.
The conference was attended by eminent researchers, scientists, and editors of highly ranked scientific journals such as Technovation, Technology in Society, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Small Business Economics, and many others. Besides presenting scientific papers, the conference aimed to facilitate the exchange of scientific and practical experiences as well as constructive discussions on contemporary challenges in the field of economics and business economics.
The project team members presented a paper that is an integral part of the EmpowerHR4Inno project. The paper includes research, analysis, and a review of contemporary literature in the fields of human resources, innovative technologies, and absorptive capacity. The aim of the paper is to analyze the current state, models, and tools applied in human resource management that contribute to the development of companies' absorptive capacity, innovations, and new technologies within the research activities of the project. The paper is being successfully completed by the project team members – Assistant Professor Dr. Sandra Tinaj, Assistant Professor Dr. Bozidar Vlacic, Bojana Malisic, Lidija Lukovac, and Jovana Popovic.
